Students attend from: Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Richmond, Orinda, Lafayette, San Leandro, Hayward

Currently we offer a Juniors Program for kids ages 8 through 14 (or until they wish to join the Adult Program) which is co-taught by Tom Gambell Sensei and Linda Andersen Sensei.

* Classes meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the school year (Sept through June) and Tuesdays only during the Summer  months (June, July, August).

We meet from 4:30 to 5:30 PM each of those days and kids can come to ANY and AS MANY of those classes as they want. (For some kids, Aikido is their primary activity and those kids often train in every class available each week. For other kids, aikido is just one of many activities they participate in, so they train only once or twice a week.

We try to make our schedule flexible enough so that kids can train year-round and still participate in other areas of interest. The skills and the perspective kids learn through aikido training supports and aids in enhancing all their other activities - especially their academic endeavors.

To get started, I suggest that you and your child come by and watch all, or part, of a class. If it looks interesting, your child can join us anytime. If you join in the middle of the month, your dues are prorated for that month. (It makes bookkeeping easier for both of us.) There are no long-term contracts or obligations.
