Feb 25 Saturday	California Aikido Association (CAA) Division 2 Friendship Training 10 AM - 4:30 PM This semi-annual training for Doran Sensei's Division is held at Aikido West in Redwood City. Each year, Doran Sensei selects two instructors from his Division to lead the training.
Feb 26 Sunday	California Aikido Association (CAA) Spring Training 10 AM - Noon and 1 - 2 PM Training will be at Aikido of San Jose and led by teachers from each of the three CAA Divisions. The semi-annual business meeting will be from 1 PM - 2 PM. Prior to the meeting, some lunch will be available at the dojo for a fee.
Mar 10-17 Sat - Sat	Gambell Sensei at Rancho La Puerta To the Aikido Community & Friends: I am pleased to announce that East Bay Aikido’s Sensei, Tom Gambell, will be a guest instructor at one of my favorite places to get away, rejuvenate and reflect - -Rancho la Puerta, in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. The Ranch is a health spa located just across the border, an hour south of San Diego. I would call it ‘elegantly rustic’, like a deluxe camp for adults. It is also a well known destination for people interested in profound changes in their health and in their lives. Tom will be teaching there for one week during March, 2012. Those of us familiar with Gambell Sensei and his teaching know that he is a gifted instructor who blends martial arts tradition with poetry, humor and insight, to extend Aikido as a transformative life practice. I know I’m not the only person whose life has been enriched by his perspective. In addition to his regular classes, some of you may have had a sampling at one of his seminars like the Northern California Day in The Country, The 108 Moving Meditations, or The Minnesota Men’s Conference. The classes at Rancho la Puerta will be an opportunity to explore all of this in a special and inspiring environment, whether it is the first or the ten thousandth time you have been on the mat.
