INSTRUCTORS
Teekell Sensei began his Aikido training
in 1981. Besides being on the teaching staff of East Bay Aikido,
Teekell Sensei also heads his own dojo - Oakland Hills
Aikido. He currently holds the rank of Go Dan (5th
Degree Black Belt) from the Aikido World Headquarters
in Tokyo, Japan.
His enthusiasm for
Aikido along with his depth of knowledge and creativity make
Teekell Sensei one of the best Aikido practitioners and teachers
in the Bay Area.
Teekell
Sensei has trained in both traditional Hombu style Aikido and
Iwama style Aikido. He has also studied many other styles of Aikido with
dozens of aikido instructors while traveling around the US and several foreign
countries.
In addition to his
regular aikido practice, he has developed a seminar called Aikido
At Work for people both familiar and unfamilar with aikido which demonstrates
how aikido principles and practices can be applied in their daily lives
- in the workplace, at home, on the road and with friends. He has given
AAW presentations at Lions, Kiwainas and Rotary Clubs
as well at Experience Unlimited and at Stanislaus State Univerity as
part of their Introduction To Business class. If you would like to

Along with his many
other accomplishments, he has also helped raise two fine sons.
One of whom is also a Black Belt in Aikido.
